About Nathaniel

Nathaniel Owusu-Boteng was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, where his passion for athletics began at an early age. While he enjoyed playing soccer as a child, he fell in love with football through his local youth league. His talent, work ethic, and determination quickly set him apart, earning him national recognition and his first NCAA Division I scholarship offer while still in the eighth grade.

 

Nathaniel began his high school career at the nationally recognized DeMatha Catholic High School before transferring to IMG Academy, where he graduated early to enroll at the University of Michigan as a student-athlete.

​

While football has provided Nathaniel with incredible opportunities, he has always believed that success carries a responsibility to serve others. His experiences, his Ghanaian heritage, and the values instilled in him by his family inspired him to establish Mission of Service (MOS). Nathaniel is dedicated, through MOS, to creating opportunities for young people through education, mentorship, health initiatives, and sustainable community development in both the United States and Ghana.

Through Mission of Service, Nathaniel hopes to inspire the next generation to dream bigger, serve faithfully, and recognize that true success is measured not only by personal achievement but also by the lives he can impact along the way.

Nathaniel’s work ethic extends beyond the field and MOS. He is committed to preparing for life beyond football and has gained professional experience through internships in financial services and venture capital, reflecting his passion for entrepreneurship, investing, and long-term impact.
